On Thursday, September 12, 2024 we attended R.A.I.N’s 60th Anniversary Gala held in the Marina Del Rey in the Bronx, New York.
President and CEO Dan Savitt was listed as one of the honorees of the Gala. EVP and Chief Experience Officer, Michael Bernstein accepted the award on behalf of Dan. Several of our team members including EVP and Chief Finance Officer, Keith Patterson, EVP and Chief People Officer Gail Thakarar, EVP and Chief of Provider Services, David Rosales attended the gala.
The gala celebrated R.A.I.N’s 60-year legacy and how the agency, much like VNS Health, made a lasting impact on the communities the organization serves. Like our own founder Lillian Wald, R.A.I.N was started by a nurse named Beatrice Castiglia-Catullo. Back in 1964, Beatrice had a vision on how to improve the well-being and quality of life for people in need. R.A.I.N carries on that vision to this day in new and impactful ways.
We thank R.A.I.N and Dr. Anderson Torres for inviting us to attend the celebration and continuing to improve the lives of New Yorkers. One fun fact about Dr. Torres is that before he became President and CEO of R.A.I.N, he worked at VNS Health as part of the Business Development team.
