VNS Health vice president of cultural market development Teresa Li and VNS Health Chinatown NNORC manager Hing Lin Sit LCSW were featured in Crain’s New York Business “Notable 2022 Asian Leaders.” The list honors innovators who pushed for change and as Crain’s states are “making our city a better place.”
Teresa is responsible for leading VNS Health’s community centers in Flushing, Sunset Park, and Chinatown. She has spearheaded the development of VNS Health’s programs in Asian American communities. Crain’s notes, “Motivated to combat anti-Asian sentiment and health disparities during the pandemic, Lin and her colleagues secured more than 50,000 items of personal protective equipment for distribution in the Asian community.”
Hing Lin oversees VNS Health’s Chinatown Neighborhood Naturally Occurring Retirement Community (NNORC) in providing health care services to residents aged 60 and older. Sit aids individuals living in the lower Manhattan area age in place properly and safely. Crain’s also states, “The licensed clinical social worker strives to develop and maintain relationships with dozens of community partners, including hospitals and government agencies, and to provide referrals to NNORC members.”
